Ajei by Kuami Eugene

A brand new Afrobeats anthem is out titled Ajei from Ghanaian highlife star Kuami Eugene. Released on October 22, 2026, Ajei is already catching attention for its local expression and love theme.

Kuami Eugene returns with Ajei, leaning into a familiar Ghanaian phrase used to express surprise, excitement, or disbelief. By building a song around that everyday expression, he gives Ajei a distinctly local identity that his core audience will recognize immediately.

The cover art is eye-catching with a pink and white theme. Kuami Eugene is seen in a full white suit holding a bouquet of flowers, standing in front of big glowing AJEI text on a pink and white checkered floor. It gives that soft romantic feel.

Ajei is a 3-minute Afrobeats single produced by BeatzVampire. Kuami Eugene is credited as the composer, lyricist and performing musician, showing his direct involvement in the record. The song carries his signature blend of highlife and contemporary African pop that fans know him for.

The rollout has been low-key with no heavy promotion. The song simply appeared on streaming platforms and YouTube, letting the audience decide what to do with it. This approach fits his current run as he continues to add to a catalogue that already includes Angela, Wish Me Well, and Confusion. This release also follows his earlier 2026 project, the Sweet Boy EP.

If you love Kuami Eugene’s style of turning everyday Ghanaian slang into catchy records, this one is for you.

The song was released under CLEAR ROAD MUSIC RECORDS / ONErpm in 2026 and is available in lossless quality on Apple Music.
