Drown is track 4 on FAVE’s 2026 EP RnBling. It features 255, and this is where the EP gets deeper and a little darker. After Body Talk, Miss You, and Dance gave us confidence and celebration, Drown pulls us into the feelings.
The title Drown is heavy. It means getting lost in something. Could be love, could be emotions, could be memories. But knowing this is RnBling, FAVE is not drowning in weakness. She is probably talking about drowning in a vibe, in attraction, or in choosing herself even when it gets intense.
255 on the feature is a smart move. The name stands for Tanzania, and 255 brings that East African flavor. This likely adds Swahili touches or a Bongo/Afro-fusion sound to the track. Pairing FAVE’s soft Nigerian tone with 255’s style gives RnBling that Pan-African reach. 2026 music is all about crossing borders.
Production wise, expect something moody but still danceable. The “glitzy” part of RnBling is probably still there, but darker. Think slow-burn Afrobeats, deep bass, atmospheric pads, and drums that pulse instead of bounce. The beat gives space for both artists to be vulnerable.
Lyrically, Drown is likely about being overwhelmed in a good and bad way. FAVE probably sings about a connection that is too strong to ignore. “You got me drowning” but in a way that sounds like she is enjoying it. 255 probably answers with his own verse. Talking about wanting someone so much it feels like sinking, but not fighting it.
This is the track where FAVE shows maturity. Earlier on RnBling she was confident and free. Here she admits that even with self-assurance, feelings can still hit hard. That honesty is what makes people connect.
Vocally, FAVE will likely be softer here. More whispers, more melody. 255 will bring contrast. Maybe a deeper tone, maybe some rap-sing. The back and forth should feel like two people talking in the middle of the night.
As track 4, Drown sits perfectly in the middle of the EP. It balances the energy. We had two features, one solo dance record, now another feature with weight. It keeps the project from being one-note.
