MohBad gave us Light EP and nothing was ever the same. 8 tracks. 2020. This is the project where Imole found his voice. Released December 2020, Light was MohBad’s official introduction after years of grinding. No co-signs needed. Just raw talent and street gospel.

Light EP is MohBad before the pain, but the prophecy was already there. The title track Light is a prayer for clarity in the dark. Ponmo is street pop at its grittiest. Sorry is an apology to himself. Father is a cry for help. Every song feels like a diary entry.

This was 2020 MohBad. Hungry. Melodic. Unfiltered. The production is lean. Street beats, heavy bass, and melodies that stick. No major features except Davido on the Holy Remix, which proved Marlian Music knew they had a star.

Fans call this his most honest project. No industry polish. Just Imole speaking his truth. Tracks like Bad Boys and Omo Mi showed his range. He could do hardcore street anthems and vulnerable ballads in the same breath.

In 2020, Light EP announced MohBad to Nigeria. In 2026, we hear it as a body of work from a legend gone too soon. Lines from Sorry and Father hit like premonitions now. This is not just an EP. It’s the foundation of the Imole legacy.
