“Oh My: You Couldn’t Pay GH¢15K For Your Son” – Michy Drags Shatta Wale Over $65K House Claims
Shatta Wale’s latest flex has landed him in hot water with his baby mama.
The dancehall star took to social media this week to announce he’d just purchased a new $65,000 house, posting videos of the property and calling it another win for his real estate portfolio. Fans and industry friends flooded his comments with congratulations.
But Michy wasn’t clapping.
Within hours, Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, popularly known as Michy, fired back with a scathing post aimed directly at the father of her son, Majesty.
“You couldn’t even pay me the GH¢15,000 for your son’s shopping, but you’re out here telling people you bought a $65,000 house,” Michy wrote on her Instagram story. “Make it make sense.”
GH¢15,000 is roughly $1,280 USD as of June 2026. Michy claims the amount was for Majesty’s shopping needs but was never paid by Shatta Wale.
The contrast between the $65,000 house reveal and the unpaid GH¢15K request has sparked heated debate online. While $65K is considered a modest real estate price in Accra, fans argue it dwarfs the amount allegedly owed for child support.
Shatta Wale and Michy’s co-parenting relationship has been rocky since their split in 2019. Michy has previously stated she handles Majesty’s school fees, upkeep, and general welfare alone, accusing Shatta Wale of being inconsistent with financial support.
The pair share one son, Majesty, born in 2015. Despite several public reconciliations, disputes over money and parenting duties continue to surface.
The internet is divided. Shatta Movement fans argue that buying property secures the future for all his kids. Critics say basic responsibilities come before investment properties.
“$65K house is cool, but your son needs clothes today,” one X user posted. “GH¢15K is pocket change for him. This ain’t it.”
Another wrote: “Let the man invest. Michy should stop doing this online.”
Shatta Wale, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., has not responded to Michy’s claims as of press time. The artist is rarely quiet when called out and often addresses controversies head-on via Facebook Live or Instagram.
BigXmotion reached out to both camps for comment. No response has been received.
Shatta Wale remains one of Ghana’s richest and most influential musicians, with endorsement deals, sold-out concerts, and multiple businesses. The $65K house claim adds to his growing list of assets that include cars, land, and other properties in Accra.
Michy has built her own brand as an entrepreneur and influencer since leaving the relationship, often speaking on single motherhood and women’s empowerment.
This latest clash proves one thing: when it comes to Shatta and Michy, the drama never stays private for long.
