Remembering Her Last Headline Show in 2022

Gyakie last headlined her own show on December 16, 2022 at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, same day as her birthday.

That night she performed with a live band, opened with Nana Nyame and sang songs from My Diary EP for the first time. Samini appeared on stage, spoke about knowing her father Nana Acheampong and gave her a gift. Bisa Kdei performed Sor Mi Mu with her, King Promise and R2Bees also showed up as surprise guests. She closed with Something featuring DWP Academy.

Fans still talk about that show today.

Why December 12 Is Big

December is the busiest month for concerts in Ghana. Sarkodie has Rapperholic 2026, and now Gyakie joins the list. The date is also special because it is 4 days before her own birthday on December 16.

New Music – Your Body and The Dawn EP

Gyakie is not coming back empty-handed. Just days before announcing the concert, she dropped a new single titled Your Body (Crazy). The song was produced by AfroLektra and blends English and Twi with Afro-fusion vibes.

According to reports, Your Body (Crazy) is the first single from her third EP titled The Dawn. The song also marks the start of a new distribution deal between her label FlipTheMusic and Warner Music Africa. The deal will help push her music across Africa and beyond, while she remains independent.

She has already started a dance challenge for Your Body on YouTube and was on Hitz FM Daybreak Hitz on October 19 for media rounds.
