Jay Bahd – Return Of Okomfo Anokye Album

Jay Bahd runs Return Of Okomfo Anokye and the title is the resurrection. Album. Worldwide. 2021. Jay Bahd delivers a project built on street prophecy, Asakaa defiance, and ancestral power.

Return Of Okomfo Anokye is Jay Bahd in spiritual warfare mode. The title is the invocation. No apology here. This is Jay Bahd opening with command. The album holds one directive throughout: dominion. The curation leans on Asakaa drill, on live chant, on solo possession. The delivery is raw with wrath. Jay enters with bars that summon and warn. No soft feature, no industry compromise. Just Kumasi grit with spiritual receipts. The production carries bells that haunt with 808s that stampede. Bassline violent. Tempo militant. It sounds like graveyard sermons, like 2021 Kumasi, like Return Of Okomfo Anokye because nothing was gentle. This is not High School. It’s rebirth.

The record positions itself as the ritual. Jay Bahd isn’t rapping. He’s conjuring. The solo weight matters. This is artist to ancestors, album offering. The energy shifts from street to shrine. The tone is cursed but clean. Verses curse, hooks possess.

If you want Jay Bahd with power, no dilution, and Return Of Okomfo Anokye energy on record, Return Of Okomfo Anokye delivers. It’s built for night patrols, for mosh pits, for when you need an album to feel like war cry.

In 2021, Jay Bahd used Return Of Okomfo Anokye to prove albums need folklore. The project works because every catalogue needs a record that says it was spirit first. The title is the priest. Jay Bahd provides the possession. One album, one resurrection: Return Of Okomfo Anokye belongs to the streets.
