The biggest rivalry in Ghana music has reignited!

Ghanaian dancehall king Shatta Wale has once again set social media on fire after throwing a heavy jab at his longtime rival Stonebwoy.

In a new viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Shatta Wale was captured bragging about his wealth and making it clear that he can never be friends with Stonebwoy.

In the video screenshot attached, Shatta Wale was seen wearing a funny white lawyer wig filter while on TikTok Live, with a Shure microphone in front of him. He was pointing aggressively at the camera, and at the bottom of the screen, two images of Stonebwoy wearing dark shades were visible – one in a red bandana hoodie.

In his usual controversial style, Shatta Wale said: “I get money pass you. You can never be my friend. Aboa”

The use of the Twi word Aboa which translates to animal in English, has sparked massive reactions from both SM and Bhim Nation fans.

This is not the first time Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have clashed. Their beef dates back over a decade, from VGMA stage scuffles, lyrical diss tracks, to constant social media shade. Despite several attempts at peace, including a high-profile press conference in 2019 after their VGMA brawl, the two dancehall giants have never truly settled their differences.

Fans have already taken sides. While SM fans are praising Shatta Wale for being real and speaking his mind, Bhim Nation fans are calling him disrespectful and attention-seeking.

As at press time, Stonebwoy is yet to respond to Shatta Wale’s latest jab, but history shows he usually replies either with a subtle tweet or a hit song.

Is this just cruise and TikTok content or is the real beef back? The Ghana music industry always gets hotter whenever Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy go at each other.
