Kweku Flick Credits Sarkodie’s Messiah Collaboration For Reviving His Music Career

Ghanaian rapper Kweku Flick has credited his collaboration with Sarkodie on the hit song Messiah for reviving his music career.

Speaking in an interview on 3Music on November 2, 2026, Kweku Flick expressed deep gratitude to Sarkodie for giving him a platform on the song, noting that the opportunity changed his life in ways the rapper might not even be aware of.

According to Kweku Flick, he went through a difficult period after losing his father in August 2024, which made him question whether he should continue doing music.

He revealed that during that challenging time, he prayed to God for a sign to confirm if music was still the right path for him.

Kweku Flick said his prayer was answered in November 2024 when he received a message from Sarkodie containing a song titled Messiah.

He explained that he interpreted the message as the sign he had asked God for and decided to hold on to music.

The rapper stated that the song became a major turning point in his career, adding that without it, he would have abandoned music to focus fully on his mineral water business.

Kweku Flick also shared how he created his part of the song, disclosing that he got the inspiration while listening to Sarkodie’s verses in a car.

He said the song already had Sarkodie’s first and second verses but did not have a chorus at the time, so he had to come up with a hook that would complement the verses.

He added that immediately he heard the song, he knew it was his type of music and the lyrics came to him naturally.
