Stonebwoy Announces ‘Anloga Junction 2’ and European Festival Run – Ghana
Stonebwoy is taking the Anloga Junction story into its next chapter. On May 29, 2026, the Bhim Nation president announced Anloga Junction 2, the follow-up to his 2020 genre-blending album, set for release on August 8, 2026. The announcement came with a short documentary-style video tracing his journey from Ashaiman to global stages, ending with the album title and date.
The new project promises 14 tracks that lean heavier into reggae, dancehall, and highlife fusion, with live instrumentation recorded between Accra and Kingston, Jamaica. Stonebwoy worked with longtime collaborator Beatz Vampire and Jamaican producers Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s team to shape the sound. Features include Davido, Shaggy, and Ghanaian highlife legend Amakye Dede, making it one of the most cross-generational Ghanaian projects in recent years. He described it as “a love letter to Ghanaian roots and global sounds” in a post on X.
Alongside the album, Stonebwoy confirmed a 10-date European festival run kicking off in July. Stops include Rototom Sunsplash in Spain, Afro Nation Portugal, and Notting Hill Carnival in London. The run is positioned to push Anloga Junction 2 ahead of the release, with live debuts of unreleased tracks expected. His team says the shows will feature a full band setup, moving away from the DJ-heavy sets common at festivals to highlight the live-reggae feel of the album.
This comes after a strong 2025-2026 run where Stonebwoy won Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist at the TGMA and toured parts of the US and Canada. Fans have been asking for a sequel to Anloga Junction for years, and the timing fits. Ghanaian dancehall is having a moment globally, with Shatta Wale’s IRAWMA wins and Stonebwoy’s consistent international presence keeping the genre visible.
The album rollout also includes a partnership with a Ghanaian NGO to renovate music classrooms in the Volta Region, tying back to the “Anloga” theme. Merch pre-orders are live, and vinyl editions are expected for collectors.
For Stonebwoy, this is about legacy and consistency. After 15 years in the game, he’s still one of Ghana’s most reliable live acts and cultural exports. Anloga Junction 2 feels like his bid to cement that status before year-end.
